The Horse

Zips Fancy Talk, better known as "Diesel", is a 2005 gelding by Sweet Talkin Chip out of Zippos Fancy Bar. According to his lifelong owner, "Diesel is one of a kind. His accomplishments are many, reserve Congress Champion, Congress Champion, bronze trophy winner at the AQHA Select World to name a few." 

The Exhibitor

Kim Allen is a familiar face around the shows and a member of the OAQHA board of directors. She's fortunate to have had horses for close to 50 years. Kim shows all weekend long in the All Around events and stated "I can't really say which class is my favorite, however western riding is right up there. Horsemanship, Eq...."

The Team

When asked about their partnership, Kim shared "He has supposedly been retired for the last 4 or 5 years but had to step up again. Rick and I have had Diesel since he was 2 months old. Rick showed him in pleasure as a three year old and then I got his 'hand me down horse' for the all round. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to show a quarter horse."

What's Kim most looking forward to about the Provincial Championship? "Being with the friends and fellow competitors."
