Taiya Parry & Justa Lady Star

The Horse

Justa Lady Star, known around the barn as "Elsy" is a 2008 mare by The Next Star and out of Justa Te Lady. She was bred right here in Ontario by Barb Lockyer.

When asked to share something about Elsy that most people wouldn't know, Taiya shared "even though she is a great show horse, she is scared of EVERYTHING. She is scared of her own shadow, puddles, trail poles, bugs, lead ropes.. you name it!"

The Exhibitor

Taiya started riding at the age of 10, which was 13 years ago. She's been showing AQHA/OQHA for about 9 years.

The Team

Taiya and Elsy have been a team for 8 years, and their proudest moment has been qualifying for the Provincials in Showmanship 2 years in a row! Their favourite events together are Showmanship and Trail. When asked what she is most looking forward to about the Provincial Championship Finals, Taiya shared "I am most looking forward to the Provincial Championships because I will be spending time with my friends doing what I love to do most! I also look forward to the challenge in the showmanship class!"
