The Horse

VS Shes A Flatliner, also known as "Betty" is a 2015 mare by VS Code Blue (bit of a misnomer!) and out of a mare called Its a Sure Thing. When asked about something that most people wouldnt know about Betty, Darcy shared "She is kind of a picky eater and really hates sugar. I tried to give her a sweet treat once and she literally spit it out in disgust. But she loves nothing more than a baby carrot."

The Exhibitor

Darcy has been riding for 21 years and showing AQHA for about that length of time! Her favourite event is Showmanship. She recently represented OQHA as Queen and went on to win the title of Congress Queen representing the Quarter Horse breed across North America.

The Team

Darcy and Betty have been a team for 5 years. Their proudest moment? "Our first win in the Horsemanship. We had worked really hard in that class and that first win was a culmination of lots of hard work."

When asked what she's most looking forward to about the Provincial Championship, Darcy responded "I am most looking forward to challenging ourselves on patterns we would normally only come up against at the World Show."
