Founded in 1960, The Ontario Quarter Horse Association is the AQHA Affiliate for the Province of Ontario, Canada. It includes seven separate regions within the Province, four of which are currently active promotional clubs; Area 1, Area 2, Area 3, and Eastern Ontario. Each zone offers its own membership to its residents.
The Ontario Quarter Horse Association Inc. is an affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), and is the official liaison between AQHA and the quarter horse industry in the province of Ontario. The Ontario Quarter Horse Association Inc. is the official liaison between the Canadian Quarter Horse Association (CQHA) and the quarter horse industry in the province of Ontario. The OQHA recognizes the Area Quarter Horse Promotional Clubs in Ontario as associates that support the growth and development of the Ontario quarter horse industry.
