The Ontario Quarter Horse Association Inc. is an affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), and is the official liaison between AQHA and the quarter horse industry in the province of Ontario. The Ontario Quarter Horse Association Inc. is the official liaison between the Canadian Quarter Horse Association (CQHA) and the quarter horse industry in the province of Ontario. The OQHA recognizes the Area Quarter Horse Promotional Clubs in Ontario as associates that support the growth and development of the Ontario quarter horse industry.

To be an unmatched equine leader in Ontario for a viable and dynamic Quarter Horse Industry.

MISSION:

To preserve and support the growth and development of the American Quarter Horse in Ontario, while maintaining its welfare and integrity and promoting lifelong enjoyment of the breed.

OBJECTIVES:

• To act as the official liaison between AQHA and Ontario quarter horse industry
• To provide beneficial services for its members that enhance and encourage quarter horse ownership and participation in OQHA events e.g. OQHA Special Events, Education Seminars OQHA year-end awards, etc.
• To generate growth in the OQHA membership through the marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity of the events and activities of Ontario quarter horse industry
• To provide diverse education programs/events, as well as net-working opportunities, to quarter horse enthusiasts
• To ensure that the quarter horse is treated humanely and with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times
• To encourage activities which promote the interests of equestrian business owners and of recreational riders
• To collaborate with other equine organizations to achieve shared goals and ideals
• To be fiscally responsible, and to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of OQHA’s business as well as archives of all OQHA activities
