Mallory McKewen & PSU Hadme From Hello

The Horse

PSU Hadme From Hello is a 2018 mare who is affectionately known as "Dolly". She is by PSU Dynamic Krymsun and out of Hello Dollin. When asked for something that most people wouldn't know about Dolly, Mallory shared "I bought her sight-unseen when the borders were closed due to Covid. She came from Penn State University and was a 3yo with only a handful of rides. When the hauler got to my place he said "well, you definitely got a quiet one! They warned us that she'd never been off the farm... but the farm was right beside the PSU Stadium, and it was graduation day, the band was marching... your filly walked on the trailer without batting an eyelash." I call her the *anti-spook*, she doesn't have much experience but she is bombroof and reacts to absolutely nothing (which is amazing until we're trying to get her ears in halter!)

The Exhibitor

Mallory has been riding since the age of 3, and showing AQHA since lead line. Her favourite event is Horsemanship. She qualified all 3 of her horses for something in the Provincial Championship! 

The Team

Mallory has had Dolly 2 years but only shown her lightly. She shared that their proudest moment as a team has been qualifying for the Provincial Championship in her two events. "I'm amazed by how good she's gotten at the Eq... she's so lazy I used to struggle to get her forward, but now it's coming naturally for her!"

What's Mallory most looking forward to about the Provincial Championship? "I love the energy. I'm excited for the feeling of my heart racing at the start cone, to see if we can push the limits and lay out a cool pattern."
